Pilgrimage for Life

The Pilgrimage for Life was an organized march held on 24 November 2008 in Huntsville, TX.

Organized by the Archdiocese of Galveston - Houston and the Texas Catholic Conference, the event included a Mass held at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church followed by a march from across the Planned Parenthood offices to the Huntsville “Walls” Unit of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, where executions of condemned inmates are held.

As of 13 March 2009, the total money contributed to the pro-life charities is over $250! Thanks to all who have purchased this book and supported my work and the work of the charities!

His Eminence Daniel Cardinal DiNardo was at the event, along with a lot of visiting clergy.

The event drew a very large crowd, estimated at anywhere between 400 and 800 people.

I attended, along with my wife and son, and I put together a book on the event. The book is available for preview at
blurb.com and can be ordered in one of two sizes: a 7x7 softcover book or an 8x10 hardcover book. Both sizes include the same photos and text. However, the layout is different between the two and, of course, the photos are larger in the larger book.

All proceeds from the sales of this book go to the buyer’s choice of three charities (or a combination, if desired): the
Gabriel Project of the Archdiocese of Galveston - Houston (part of the Respect Life office, this organization helps women who are in a crisis pregnancy), Rachel’s Vineyard (an organization that helps women who have had an abortion to deal with the aftermath), or the Texas Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty.
